My Mother’s Hands

IMG_3222 (2).JPG

With grateful memories I recall
My mother’s hands that raised us all;
From infants born to children grown,
Such Godly care was shown.

CHORUS
My mother’s hands, so selflessly,
Served others well and faithfully.
In everything she put Christ first—
Lord, give me hands like hers!

My mother’s hands lived out her heart,
To humbly fill her busy part.
What she could not express in words,
In actions clear was heard.

My mother’s hands were strong and brave,
They cleaned and sewed and built and saved.
Without complaint, without reserve,
Her God and home she served.

My mother’s hands have showed me Christ—
By wisdom, virtue, sacrifice.
May I, as she, live out my faith,
A servant for Christ’s sake.

  1. You, young lady, just made me tear up!! How sweet of you to write a song to honor your mom’s Godly service to her Lord and family. You are a deep thinker and an appreciative daughter.

Thank you for being that way, and please, stay that way!!

    Love you so much!!
